Back in the early 70's ( before SNL ) National Lampoon had a series of comedy albums, I dont remember that skit but I had a copy of Radio Dinners and another album I disremember the name of now, One Of those had John Belushi as a newcaster who broke in with "Newsflashs" thoughout the Album, One I remember was to the effect that "The Grateful Dead are Still Dead and we are Grateful" and something about all Nine Of Jerry's fingers are still moving. I don't know about Belushi breaking in with news flashes, per se, but on the Woodstock spoof, Lemmings, he keeps coming with "a few more announcements," such as, "THERE'S JUST NOT ENOUGH FOOD!" and I think he made the comment that the brown strychnine had been laced with acid, but that might have been from something else.

Lemmings, That was the Album name I couldn't remember. Wish I still had all the Albums I had in 1980. Lum

I have that album. My favorite is the band " MArx,Engells,Freud, and Young"
making fun of CSNY of course. I LOVE the line " we don't want nothing if it isn't free" and of course the chorus " we are lemmings we are crazies, we will feed our flower habit pushing daisies" ALLMOST as good as Frank on We're only in it for the Money. Oh man what a great rip on hippies with both Who needs the peace corps and Flower Punk
